Our Story
The Bryant Barbers premises has been family owned since the 1950s. It was originally owned by Chris and Megan’s great grandparents and was run as a convenience store. When their great grandparents retired the shop was turned into a ladies’ hairdressers with seven stations and remained this way for many years.
In early 2018 the ladies’ hairdressers decided to close down, so Chris and Megan took the opportunity to turn this space into an upmarket and modern Barbers that would bring top class barbering to Maidstone. They had a vision of offering outstanding standards of barbering, with professional service, in a clean and comfortable environment. The shop undertook a full refurbishment into a sleek barbershop with four large barber stations and in June 2018 Bryant Barbers was open for business.
In 2020 Bryant Barbers faced the challenge of Covid. The shop was forced to close for nearly a year in total. When the shop was able to re-open initially very restricted services were offered, with protective screens and strict hygiene measures put in place to protect both customers and stylists. It was a very challenging time for a relatively new business, but the shop grew from strength to strength as the restrictions were slowly lifted.
Following this growth, Megan and Chris were keen to expand and bring more barbers on board. So, in 2022 the family agreed to expand the shop with Megan and Chris investing heavily in an extension which completed in October 2023. The new and improved Bryant Barbers now has 8 barber stations with washing facilities, two treatment rooms and a staff room.

Teamwork and continual development have always been core values of Bryant Barbers. Chris and Megan train the stylists in-house to ensure consistency and high standards are delivered to all clients. They also keep the whole team up to date with the latest techniques in cutting.

The Bryant way of working means the team always allow time to offer the best advice and really listen to the customers’ needs without distraction. A broad range of services are offered across the board with the sole aim of ensuring that clients walk out relaxed and happy, looking good and feeling great.
